Martin Lawrences Addresses Health Rumors: “Stop The Rumors”

We're just two days away from the release of the highly anticipated, Bad Boys: Ride or Die, and its stars, Will Smith and Martin Lawrence have geared up promotion for the fourth film in the series. Throughout the press run, fans have taken notice of the condition of Lawrence, stating that he doesn't seem like himself, including one recent clip of Smith holding Lawrence by the hand guiding him. Well, during an appearance on Hot 97's Ebro in the Morning, Lawrence himself has shut down any health concerns the public may have.

"Now Martin, is that what everybody's talking [about] you on the balcony waving at people, you're looking around, where you're looking around, like, 'yo this is massive'...I sure was. I sure was...People took it like something was wrong with your health, or something...I was like, oh, this is rock concert stuff. What the hell is going on? For a movie? Oh, my Goodness, man"

Host, Ebro would then take the opportunity to ask Martin if there was anything he wanted to say to the people due to their concerns. In regards to his health, Martin said:

"I'm fine. I'm in God's hands. I'm blessed. You know, I'm glad to be waking up every day. I'm all good. No need for people to be concerned. I'm healthy as hell. Stop the rumors"

Worries over Martin have been an underlying narrative on social media within the Bad Boys 4 campaign, with many expressing their sympathies and some even offering their prayers. On social media, the conversation would continue. One online user would say:

"I'm praying for Martin's health and Will's psyche. Amen!"

Another social media user would react: "Real Martin fans know. Not only is he dealing with a loss, he has had previous health issues in the past. We're used to seeing Marty Mar from over 30 years ago. Let's all pray that we all age gracefully and remain in good health"

Now, these previous health issues include Lawrence being hospitalized for extreme exhaustion and dehydration back in 1996. Another would include Lawrence slopping into a three-day coma after collapsing from severe heat exhaustion while exercising in 1999.

As the conversation on social media continued, one more would add: "I can appreciate y'all for asking Martin straight up about his health. I'm not sure if I believe him but gotta accept what he said"

Many others would agree with the last sentiment, respecting Lawrence's privacy at the same time. So, what do you guys think of Martin addressing his health concerns to his fans?
